The baths were refreshing and the owner was marvelous
Bad rooms, Mineral bath in the basement.
When you go here, most of your money is going into the mineral bath. Your room is probably going to be small & cramped, but you won't know because every room is diffrent. The wall's are very thin, so enjoy almost whispering so you don't disturb anyone. The mineral bath is just a mineral bath, there's not much else to it.
We loved the small town of Midland off the highway, quiet at night, friendly locals and historic Stroppel Hotel. Vicki and staff friendly and accommodating. Hotel funky and old, with character- just how we like 'em., Clean and comfy and the two hot springs in the basement at any hour were the reward.
I've been here a couple times now and I plan on returning.
Old charm great staff Its a walk back in time The baths have been resurfaced in 2016 and look great this is a 100 year old Hotel where presidents stayed Its not the ritz but is is special and would be a great memory of your South Dakota trip
